Community Policing

The Nation Police takes an active role with various community oriented activities through the Community Policing Program.  The Community Policing Program endeavors to create a partnership with the general community, including the many Nation retail         establishments and casino related enterprises to identify problems and develop solutions to these problems.  Problems may or may not be criminal in nature and may only be as simple as a quality of life issue that needs to be addressed.   In the event you have a concern, or question regarding a quality of issue that effects your community please send it to us at  communitypolicing@oneida-nation.org

There is currently one uniformed officer assigned on an as needed basis as a liaison between the police department and the various members of the community and Nation departments.  Additional members of the police department participate in varying degrees throughout the year with the different programs offered.

Some of the community events co-sponsored by the police department include:

·         Summer Kids Day – Children and Elders Center

·         Halloween Party and Halloween Safety – Children and Elders Center
